Default Business printers 101 Discussion

Although printers were often thought of as just an “accessory” in the past, with advancements in technology and business, they have become an integral part of work environments, from home offices to large enterprises. And thanks to the invention of the All-in-One (AIO) or Multifunction Printer (MFP), consumers and businesses alike can get printing, scanning, copying and faxing from one device.

So how does one go about choosing a printer that is right for them?  By understanding what each style of printing can offer a customer and picking accent features that streamline offices and workgroups. There are several printer styles available on the market, the most common being inkjets or laser printers. Inkjets are typically thought of as “home printers” since they have a low initial cost, print vivid colors and are more desktop suitable. But recently, many print manufacturers, including Epson, HP, Canon and Lexmark, have been pushing inkjet products on to the SMB market by adding office or professional printers to their lineups.

While the devices may work for small offices or workgroups with light printing needs or for a professional that has a personal printer on their desk, when it comes to heavy duty printing, SMB and enterprise alike are still turning to laser printers to get the job done in the most cost effective way.
